Terms of service

Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 July 2026

1. These Terms

These Terms govern purchases made through the Master Law Prep website. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy. Nothing in them limits any statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

2. Our products

We sell the printed SQE Master Workbook: FLK1 and SQE Master Workbook: FLK2.

The workbooks contain revision questions mapped to the SRA assessment specification. They are designed for customers to research the current law independently and consolidate their research into personalised revision notes.

The main revision questions intentionally do not include answers. This research-led format is a fundamental feature of the products, particularly because the law and assessment specification may change. Online answers are provided only for the specified mini-scenario questions.

Customers should ensure that they understand the format and contents of a workbook before ordering.

3. Educational purpose

The workbooks are independent revision resources intended for educational and self-study purposes only. They do not constitute legal advice or a complete statement of the law.

Master Law Prep is not affiliated with, approved, sponsored or endorsed by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, Kaplan SQE or any other SQE assessment provider.

We do not guarantee:

  • success in the SQE or any other assessment;
  • that every potentially assessable matter is included;
  • that all content will remain complete, current or error-free; or
  • any particular academic, professional or employment outcome.

Customers are responsible for conducting their own research, checking the current SRA assessment specification and verifying the law using appropriate, current and authoritative sources.

4. Orders

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase a product. A binding contract is formed when we confirm that the order has been accepted or dispatched, whichever occurs first.

We may reject or cancel an order before dispatch where:

  • payment has not been authorised;
  • the product is unavailable;
  • delivery information is incomplete or incorrect;
  • we cannot deliver to the selected destination;
  • the price or description contains an obvious error; or
  • we reasonably suspect fraud or unlawful activity.

If we cancel an order after taking payment, we will refund the amount paid.

5. Prices and payment

Prices, available currencies, taxes and delivery charges are displayed on the website or at checkout before an order is submitted.

Payment must be made using an available checkout method. Third-party payment providers may process the transaction under their own terms and privacy policies.

A customer’s bank or payment provider may charge currency-conversion or international-transaction fees. We do not control these charges.

6. Printing and fulfilment

Each workbook is printed to order and fulfilled by Bookvault on our behalf.

The customer’s contract is with Master Law Prep. Bookvault acts as our printing and fulfilment provider and is not the retailer responsible for the customer’s order.

Because orders enter production shortly after purchase, we cannot guarantee that an order can be changed or stopped once submitted. Customers should contact us immediately if they identify an error.

7. Delivery

Available destinations, delivery methods, estimated delivery times and charges are displayed at checkout.

Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly confirm otherwise. We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, although this does not affect customers’ statutory rights.

International customers may be responsible for import duties, taxes or customs charges where these are not collected at checkout.

Further information is provided in our Shipping Policy.

8. Cancellations and returns

Cancellations, returns, refunds and remedies for faulty products are governed by our Return and Refund Policy.

After any applicable statutory cancellation period has expired, we do not accept returns, exchanges or refunds because a customer has changed their mind or no longer wants the workbook.

Returns after that period will be accepted only where required by law, including where a workbook is faulty, damaged, incorrect or materially not as described.

Nothing in these Terms or our Return and Refund Policy affects rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Intellectual property

All original content in the workbooks and on the Master Law Prep website—including original questions, scenarios, explanations, online answers, wording, structure, branding and design—is owned by Liberty Wilson or used under licence.

Purchasing a workbook gives the purchaser a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use that individual copy for private study.

Except where permitted by law, customers must not:

  • copy, scan or reproduce a workbook or any substantial part of it;
  • upload or distribute its contents;
  • share copies or online answer materials with another person;
  • resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the content;
  • create and distribute substantially derivative materials; or
  • remove copyright or ownership notices.

Customers may write in and annotate their own physical copy and use their completed notes for personal revision.

10. Online materials

Access to online mini-scenario answers is for the purchaser’s personal use only.

Customers must not reproduce, distribute, publish or share these materials or any access details. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe that materials are being copied, shared or used unlawfully.

We may correct or update online materials where reasonably necessary.

11. Accuracy and changes in law

We take reasonable care when preparing our products. However, law, regulation, guidance and assessment requirements can change.

We do not guarantee that a workbook or online resource will always be complete, current, error-free or suitable for a customer’s individual study requirements.

The absence of answers to the main revision questions is an intentional and clearly disclosed feature of the products. It is not an error, printing defect or omission.

12. Liability

We are responsible for foreseeable losses caused by our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for:

  • customers relying on a workbook instead of checking the current law, SRA specification or authoritative sources;
  • examination results or academic, professional or employment outcomes;
  • losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed; or
  • business losses arising from products purchased primarily for personal study.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or breach of statutory consumer rights.

13. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms applying to an order will normally be those published when the order was placed.

15. Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Consumers resident elsewhere retain any mandatory protections and rights available under the laws of their country of residence.
